I have a 2002 Explorer. It used to sputter until we changed the EGV out, but today, I was shopping and when I got into my truck, it wouldn't start for a few minutes. After I finally got it started, I let it run for a minute before I backed out of the parking space and when I put it into drive, it tried to stall and then jumped into drive. I had to slam my brakes so that I wouldn't hit the man who crossing in front of me. Scared the crud out of me and him. I've had problems before with it stalling when I switch from reverse to drive. Do you think that this is transmission problem? I was told about a year ago that the sputter was probably related to the transmission, and now this happened.
