Why do they put mirrors on your car that say 'objects may appear closer than they actually are'?
WHAT is the point? Roll Eyes

Well, since objects in the mirror actually ARE closer than they appear, they probably just want to let you know that you don't have as much room as you think you might.

you are farther away from that side of the vehicle, the objective is to give you as wide a field of view as possible. The convex mirror does this.

The biggest problem is that most people set their outside mirrors to see behind them when they should be set to see beside them. The inside mirror does this, and what good does it do to look in your outside mirror when half of it is filled with a view of the side of your vehicle?
