No, I think the answer's "Peter". Peter is "one of a famed trio", namely Peter, Paul and Mary, and so the answer fits. It all depends of course on when the question was originally put, because P, P & M aren't really household names these days, are they?

I'll let this stand until "Faber" gives the correct answer (Or for a few days), then I will delete it. It really isn't tivia.

I think it's a fun question, although it is more like a riddle. I don't think it is tivia (sic) either.

Seems to me to be both riddle and trivia... and finely suited for the "tivia" forum

The question seems to me to fit in DP's Riddle forum, but that is another site, with another owner. I will be deleting it today or tomorrow.

I agree with dance girl and mozart: it's best suited to be placed under "Word Game Help" where there are a number of other, similar questions. If it's to be deleted, and not moved like other posts have been around the boards, what please is the reason?

I see it as more of a riddle than a word game.

I think Colin's right. I asked this on a couple of other sites, with no better answers. I hoped it would be a nursery rhyme about 3 characters but if it is, it's such an obscure one that no one knows it except the person who made up the question. Thanks, Colin.

If the answer was/is unknown, it certainly doesn't belong in Trivia. It should go in Literature or General Reference. Trivia is for questions whose answer is known to the original poster. I'll move this to one of those two tomorrow.
