My guess is a Warhol film. Now known as "****" ("Four Stars"), it was once known as "24" and was later edited into 2 films. The original was 24 hours long. The second half was titled "The Loves of Ondine" or something like that.

I started to say "Eyes Wide Shut". But that was a 2 hour film...even tho it seemed there were periods of at least 30 mins with no dialogue. What a snoozer. But then I remembered "The Grandmother". I think that qualifies. There really wasn't dialogue in that movie...unless you count grunts as dialogue!

Georgia, yes I originally read the question as a full length movie, and I was thinking of stuff like EraserHead and Trainspotting. Remember that weird sequence in there with the dead baby crawling across the ceiling?
