When his movies got distributed in France, they (The French) changed his first name into "Fier" which means "Proud" in French. What is the name of this American Actor?

Hi mozart,

Fess Parker was a Hollywood actor, famous for the Davey Crockett character in the 1950s.

When the French looked at releasing the series, they had a problem with his name. "Fess" in French means buttocks. The distributors changed his mane to "Fier" in France, a better name for an American frontiersman.
