Well, I don't know that I use it.It's always 'in yonks' or 'for yonks', meaning 'for a long time now' as in "I've not seen Harry for/in yonks" I first heard it back in the 70s when girl students at the Inns of Court used it a lot.It goes well with what we'd think of now as a Sloaney accent
