What are the names of the sidekicks on these
two shows?

Gabrielle and Aeolus

There names are Gabrielle and Aeolus but
the website that I got this off of had Aeolus name spelled like this: Iolaus

I'd go with Aeolus, since it seems that that is the pronunciation I've heard on the show, plus it is a real Greek name, referring to the god of the winds.

I looked Aeolus up in the dictionary and the pronunciation was E- & -l&S, the O being silent.
I think Iolaus is pronounced differently than the Greek god of the winds, and spelled differently.
