It appears she didn't receive anything for her invention:
"Neither Lamarr nor Antheil ever received a nickel from their patent. Why? As an inventor Lamarr was decades ahead of her time. Frequency hopping, which was never implemented by the War Department, did not come into use until 1962, when Sylvania installed it on ships sent to blockade Cuba. That was three years after the Lamarr-Antheil patent expired and the rights to the invention fell into the public domain ."
mozart, There's all sorts of interesting trivia associated with this actress, who I am ashamed to say, I had never even heard of. She was at the height of her fame, I guess, in "the old days" at a time when Fred Puli would have been idolizing movie stars. Here's a link to more trivia about her at IMBd
She was married 6 times and certainly could have used the money from this invention, because the marriages and subsequent divorces drained her finances. I like this quote from her on finding a husband,
"I must quit marrying men who feel inferior to me. Somewhere there must be a man who could be my husband and not feel inferior. I need a superior inferior man."

Yup. Hedy, rather masculine we thought, played opposite Mel Brooks in 'Blazing Saddles' though, for some reason, kept saying 'Don't keep calling me Hedy' and got rather annoyed
I just checked out the imdb info on her, and it was very interesting. Blazing Saddles is one of my favorite movies EVER, and I think that although Hedy was a very beautiful woman, she obviously had NO sense of humor
