does anyone know where i can get ahold of a free non trial version of scrabble to play against the computer?
i used to play at games.com, but all they have now is a 60 minute trial or buy for $20 version.
i just want to play hours of scrabble without having to pay. i went out and bought the deluxe anniversary addition, i dont want to pay to have a basic version on my computer.

I'm sure there are Free flash or Shockwave Scrabble games around But Googles not giving them up easily

If you can get onto the Yahoo games site (have to signup to Yahoo) there is a similar game called Literati this page explains the differences in gameplay and tactical plays ...can play it against the computer or another Yahoo member in the forums ...very busy level range from Beginner to Advanced(screenshot on this page)

You could try one of these links from Google, but I think Hasbro has its license on a tight leash. I tried one of the downloads but got only 60 minutes' worth. It even had the nerve to abruptly stop a game in the middle when time was up.
