When I first got my computer several years ago, I use to play an "Acronym" game on the Internet. There were different rooms you could join, and there was ongoing chat. Each turn, letters would appear and each player would have to make a "sentence" using words beginning with each letter. EX: M I P L "My Icecream Pleased Linda." Then other players would vote for the best sentence. The name was Acrophobia (fear of acronyms) or something similar. Has anyone ever heard of this game, know what happened to it, or know if it is still available on the Internet?

Thanks Tree! I'm going to keep watching that site to see if the game comes back. It was a blast. If I remember correctly there was a FACE OFF every so often that really caused anxiety! And winners of one round got to pick the category of the next round. I miss it.

It's available on Uproar.com. Almost exactly like I remember except the screen is a little smaller. I had to deal with some pop-ups and fool around with trying to size the screen so I could chat, but I am HOOKED again! If you find it look for me...my name is Marvi699.

Someone in the Acro chat room told me about getting into the game through the backdoor to avoid pop ups and advertisements. The screen is bigger that way, too. I am addicted already.
