Hello can anyone advise me on any online virtual reality games please, I have tried second life but the program just kept crashing on me, I have played runescape, wasnt so keen on that but would appreciate if anyone knows of any others they could let me know about, im on a mission now to find a great game I can really get into,

Depending on what size of Hard drive you have
Have a look at Conqueronline
Need a broadband link to download it(is a 2 GB file) plus a Download manager to retain the file for opening later
It took me close to 5 hours on my old 512 MB link to assemble the program(Have got a 1024 MB link now which halves the times)
Or if you're lazy? They will send out a CD for $10 / 6 pounds (UK) plus post and packing

The best download manager I have found (no spyware attached) ,easy to use is called Leechget from www.leechget.net/en/ Daft name ,reliable performer

and most important of all its Free

Clicking the link once only will take you to a detailed description of the game
some here are time limited demos others turn into a "pay game" after a free trial period And there are some fully free games on the list
Those with the MMOG label are the Runscape type games
And I think a download manager program will be needed with most of these programs.

Usually Second Life crashes are related to one of the following:
1. Your firewall is blocking SL's connections
2. You are trying to run SL on an inferior graphics card. (Cards with <32MB of dedicated ram, Intel Extreme, and [non-Mac] Intel GMA falls in this category)
3. Your system doesn't have enough RAM. (128MB runs Windows, but at bare minimum you'll need 256MB to run Sl)
4. You have too many programs running. Don't try multitasking with SL, it just doesn't work.
5. If you are using an old version of Quicktime, you'll want to update to the latest version
6. You need to update your graphics card drivers. (If they're older than six months, it's about time to check for an update. ATI and Nvidia release new ones all the time)

Last by not least Do visit Windows Update and see if there are any security updates due to you?
