My fiance and I have been playing the PS2 gamr, The Warriors. (based on the hit 1979 film) It is a REALLY cool game!

However, the farther you get into the game, the PS2 starts making funny noises. Like the disc tray or something. I can't really explain the sound though. We think it may be because they loaded so much stuff into the game that when you get really far, it starts reading the edges of the disc.

He tried a couple of his other games and they had no problem.

Anyone else play this game and have the same problem? Or have you had a similar problem with a different game?

Tried looking it up to find others with the same problem but couldn't find any.

PS- I apologize if this is in the wring spot. I don't know of any game area on here. If there is one and I missed it, again I am sorry. If there isn't one, can we get one? (for like PC, PS2, XBox etc...)

Y'know, I've had the same problem with other games. It sounds like... well, like the machine is struggling to read the disk or something, right? Is this what you're experiencing?

My hypothesis as to what this is is that my PS2 isn't new enough. The Playstation, every year, is altered slightly (believe it or not). Really old PS2 systems can't play the newer ones without struggling, assuming they can do it at all.

How old is your system? Mine is around 5 years old and has been struggling with a few of the newer games (one of my friends can't play San Andreas much to his chagrin).
