I think they mean the Command Prompt box (name does change)
Need to be rather careful here as you'll be typing odd looking lines Confused
Have a peek and see if you can begin to understand this (not a beginners area)
Click Start>Run in the box type "cmd"
and a black window opens with just a line of script and a flashing cursor

I am lost beyond here myself...but if you type "help" all the commands are displayed
We'd last have used this about 5-8 years ago in DOS 6.22 Frown I don't know what version this is? Confused

Dosbox is an emulator program
which helps run older games and applications

Again you'll need help because there are several different downloads and the setup looks a tad awkward Frown
Sorry about that?

And, to add to your grey hairs, some programs require different sound emulator setups - don't just LOVE DOS?!!!

I've used Dos Box for quite some time now. It's annoying to use sometimes but it works. Read the rules on fast computers though; they're somewhere on the site or in the readme.txt. Faster computers react strangely to old DOS games sometimes so you need to tweak Dos Box to trick your computer into running it slower.

Ugh. Yea, if you absolutely love the old Dos Games it's worth it, but I abandoned it due to the headache it caused me.
