I think it has read the disk but not cataloged it You can clear it out with Disc cleanup on the System tools menu later Ok?
I have several XP games that won't play on this computer and also I have games for MS Dos 5/6 that do run despite warnings they won't Had one from 1991 running a few weeks ago with only a slight sound issue problem
So like you We do give the oldlies an outing
So about the game you are trying to install and its losing it ...
There is a way...
Open the Start menu click Accessories> then scroll down the List until you Find the Item Marked
Program Compatibility Wizard and follow the Instructions (Just click the next button) and put in the disc when it asks OK? Timing is the key to this exercise Installing Broadband drivers is done in a similar fashion
WARNING!!As it says Do not attempt to load Old Security Software via this wizard ...You are just asking for BIG,BIG trouble!! Download the latest versions always
As I said earlier if it does run you may have to alter the Display properties down sharply and the colors but I think on the wizard(from memory) you can set them up as you go through the options will be either 600x600 or 800x800? and 16 colors VGA But if you have the box handy , the numbers will be there or in the instruction leaflet /booklet but those numbers I've suggested should work fine

Somebody else may have more comments on this Later?
