It's nice to see someone taking an interest in the old LucasArts games, before they went nuts on the Rogue Squadron franchise.
SCUMM essentially was a scripting language that made it easier to slap together game code, so they could focus more time on storylines, abeit the opposite of today's games.
Eventually, the use of SCUMM waned, but those who played the titles, have come to realize that the lack of ancient DOS on newer MS Windows machines makes it quite difficult to play these classics.
Enter
SCUMMVM, a program which replicates the behavior of the original LucasArts SCUMM engine to allow playback of titles such as Sam & Max, The Dig, Maniac Mansion, etc. on any platform - including Windows XP, Mac OS X, and Linux.
Anyway, enough of the history lesson. Now time for me to go back into hiding.
