A: Louis is a two-century old vampire. Given a choice between death and eternal life as one of the undead, Louis chooses the latter, a decision he will forever regret.

B: If I remember correctly and understand the question, they were DorianGreyeds. Sorry, I always get them confused! "Upirs" (an early form of the word later became"vampire") in a document referring to a Russian prince as "Upir Lichy", or "wicked vampire"! (AKA, Karrow!) Wink

C:Armand was seventeen; (Just missed his "sweet sixteen party!)

A. Correct
B. Not so sure on, I'll have to look that one up again... but I'm fairly sure its incorrect, in the book it might've been something else.
C. Hint: He's at least Loius' age. I admit, I wasn't very clear... How old was Armand when he met Louis?

B: further history of the name:
The belief that "Vrykolakas" ( slavic for werewolves) would die and become vampires in the hereafter, tied the two myths together quite conveniently. The word 'Vampire', until now unknown, became used as a term for the very first time in 1726, following thousands of reports of vampirism due to the plague. It was first coined in German as "Vanpir" in a report of one case of vampirism. This evolved into "vampyre" in 1732 (used in French) and finally into the English word "Vampire"

B. Re-examine your link closer (it was http://www.vampiresamongus.com/history.html). I'll give you a hint: The name Ann used in the book wasn't the name of the European Counter-part.

C. Hint: Louis is younger than Armand

B. Hint: It's an Oriental name I'm looking for.

C. Hint: Armand is the oldest living vampire... how many years is he?

Armand was 17 when he became a vampire sometime in the 15th century. And although he was trapped in the body of a 17 year old he was 400 when he met Louis and Claudia. He was 500 when his back story was introduced in "The Vampire Armand" by Anne Rice.

But in your hint you said Armand was the oldest living vampire...Marius, who made Armand a vampire, is at least 2000 years old so how can Armand be older than he?
