The earliest newspapers told the news like what you'd read from a periodical/magazine nowadays. In those days news took several days or weeks to get from A to B ( via mouth to mouth /coach /horseback) No regular reliable Mail service.(till c 1840) So "newspapers" as we know them today were infrequently published "as and when" So the earliest Newspapers could also count as the earliest magazines. Bring up some of the images of early newspapers on the link above, and try to work out how long it took for the "Latest News" to get in the paper?
