#1 is very close but the term is slightly different according to my source and I have verified in case of mistakes or misspelled. Smile
Just lost my case of beer. Frown ************************************************************ 06-18-06, 09:05 AM Karrow I presume #1 Cryology then? (I'm only doing these from memory, so am not sure.)
We're doing you a favour taking your beer money mozart; just think how much healthier you'll be. Big Grin ************************************************************ 06-18-06, 09:14 AM mozart56 There you go. #1 has been resolved.
I feel healthier.....already! Frown ************************************************************ 06-18-06, 03:22 PM Professor Hmm -- cryology was the first thing that I tried, but Dictionary.com defined it as "The scientific study of snow, ice, sleet, and frozen ground" so I thought it was wrong. Mad My Webster's 3rd Int'l Unabridged gives the same definition plus a 2nd: "The science of refrigeration." Mozart, I don't suppose it's fair -- just yet -- to ask for your source, but I assume it's some sort of popular dictionary or dictionary website?
I should add that I came up with #7 off the top of my head. Big Grin ************************************************************ 06-18-06, 03:52 PM DorianGreyed "I should add that I came up with #7 off the top of my head."

Prof. My source could be off a little on this, I don't know. Here's another that I found. Source cryology—1. The study of ice and snow. 2. In Europe, a synonym for glaciology. Note: The term cryology has become almost meaningless unless it is defined in context. (Arctic and Subarctic Terms, Arctic, Desert Tropic Information Center Pub. A-105, 1955.) 3. The study of sea ice. ************************************************************ 06-18-06, 08:09 PM Professor #8: Stemmatology (aka stemmatics). ************************************************************ 06-18-06, 08:11 PM Professor #3: Possibly paleoclimatology? ************************************************************ 06-18-06, 08:17 PM Professor "Cryogenics is a branch of physics (or engineering) that studies the production of very low temperatures...and the behavior of materials at those temperatures." --Wiki. ************************************************************ 06-18-06, 09:53 PM mozart56 That's it I am ruined. Thanx Prof. Good answers. Smile
The old "Wiki" as you like to call it was my Source
