The Hugo Award, also known as the Science Fiction Achievement Award, is given annually by the World Science Fiction Society (WSFS) at the Hugo ceremony on Sunday night. The Hugo Award is named in honor of Hugo Gernsback Big Grin

Sorry this took so long. Of course, The SF award is named after early writer/editor/publisher Hugo Gernsbach (1884-1967). Gernsbach coined the phrase Science Fiction (SF), and provided several magazines for the new genre.
