07-08-03, 03:11 PM Patricia You are correct on the Missouri. Maybe someone else can supply the town.
Hint: It shares its name with the a saintly city in Flordia Wink
07-08-03, 08:56 PM Sailracer WAG: St. Augustine or St. Pete?
07-09-03, 12:13 PM Patricia St. Petersburg is the one.
07-09-03, 01:33 PM DorianGreyed Patricia, are you certain about this? It has been a very long time since I read it, but I seem to remember Hannibal as his home, and Tom Sawyer's as well. I have been to Twain's home there.
07-09-03, 08:01 PM Patricia Hannibal was Twain's hometown but St. Petersberg was Huck's, remember chapter 11 when Huck dressed as a girl slips back into town to see what was going on. He lied and pretended he thought he was in the village of Goshen. The lady said no he was in St. Petersberg.
