"Go" and "put" are certainly possibilities. And I would add "put" or "set", especially if we can lump together a word's usage as verb, phrasal verb and noun, etc.

Colin is right...Set has the most definitions of any word in the English language - with 464 definitions in the Oxford English Dictionary. However since I'm not a mind reader I can't possibly know what word you think has the most definitions. Pray tell, how many definitions does your word have?

Clue without using one of the many definitions ... Hmm You are a Clumsy butterfingered person or a big....?
dance girl Our usual custom is to let it ride for a week then give a clue Discussionpool games are the same (saw your name over there) But as you said you are new and you asked I don't mind relaxing the rule in these circumstances

Ok try to follow my line of reasoning here as to how i've"sort of"arrived at the answer.
well first of all i thought of the word "fool" because that would fit with all the clues you gave, but that doesn't have enough definitions.
So then I thought of the words "zero", "nothing" but they werent quite right cos they didn't have definitions and didn't fit in with all your clues. Well, i finally arrived at the letter or symbol "O" cos that kind of fits in to the clues and has lots of definitions. Am I close??
You gave the answer it is Fool (Love the rest by the way ) Could do a word chain game sequence on this(see the AB>Z game on DP for examples )Idiots,dummys.Dimwits,Dumbells,goons,.... and they are a small taste of the clean definitions (DP=Site shorthand for Discussionpool)
We did this site Newbies guide a while back and it shows you whats what on the site buttons How to access the Dictionary and alert procedures and Admin contacts ,Though we sometimes use the Chatroom or The Enthusiasts only discussion room for alerts

OK, this one is answered, and will disappear in a few days. In the future, let's keep the Trivia forums for Trivia, and not use it for guessing what someone thinks.

It doesn't, Georgia. But he asked which word in his opinion has more definitions than any other, which means that the only acceptable answer may or may not be the word with the most definitions. The answer just has to be the one he is thinking of. This, of course, is why it isn't a Trivia question. It's like Professor says, a "guess what I'm thinking" game, no different than asking someone you are talking with on the phone to "Guess how many fingers I'm holding up?"
For the record, Georgia's answer, "set", is the word generally accepted as the word, in English, as having the most definitions.
