He was born in 1928 in Los Angeles, CA.

Another story is that he was born on a train going between Kansas City and Los Angeles. That is one version of where Disney first drew Mickey, first thought of making a cartoon out of a mouse, etc. There are all sorts of stories. The comic books of the 1990s gave Mouseton as Mickey's home, in the state of Calisota. The very early comic books had Mickey living on Minnie's farm.

While researching surnames for the "trade trivia" I found this: Disney : is an English Place named derived from a French place - Isigny - which was Isinius' estate in France. Many who followed William the Conqueror into England became known by the French towns from which they emigrated. Micky Mouse is said to have been from there.
