"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known." is the last line of what novel?

I still remember (just barely) studying A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens in 10th grade English class. Unfortuantely I can't remember the name of the dude who speaks the line.

If memory serves me (no longer a given!) it has a famous opening sentence as well: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..."
