Has anyone seen this dvd? "We're a Happy Family"

It just amazed me how well loved they were INTERNATIONALLY! It seemed that people, young and old, really had a spot in their hearts for this band.

Great dvd with that high energy that the Ramones delivered sooooooo well. Such a shame that they are no more. They certainly had an extreme infulence and I will miss them.

I've heard a tribute album by that name, but not a DVD. Where'd you come across it? Are you a big fan?

I often find it amazing how many bands are so well loved in other countries. It is pretty surprising.

Hi jusork. A friend of mine ordered this DVD online and it's fabulous. It has a lot of their own videos on it. It kind of gets you hooked. They are an adorable bunch of guys. WERE, I should say.

Yes, I AM a fan!

Heh. Sounds good.

One of the four long time members are still alive though. Marky I believe.

They've got a handful of other DVDs if you'd like to try some more stuff.

Hi Jusork.

There is a REASON why ALL cd's and dvd's should be keep in their proper cases etc. Mostly, because they made me look like a dork!

PLEEEEEEZE forgive me... the dvd I'm talking about is this one.

Yep, Marky is still alive. He replaced Tommy - the original Ramone who decided to leave the band to pursue his love of producing, I believe.

Which of the other dvd's would you recommend?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! So you had the DVD in the Tribute album case? How's that tribute album?

OOoo, you must be a pretty big Ramones expert?

Well, I haven't seen any of their DVDs, but I've been looking around. Raw seems like the best general Ramones album, but I also found a group biography on DVD called End of the Century, a collection of videos on DVD called Lifestyles of the Ramones, and a couple DVDs of them live. I don't know if you're interested in any of those.

YES! I'd love to see them. Do you have a link where I can purchase them???

Thanks jusork!

I've been looking around. By the way, did you know that the Ramones are the only band in the hall of fame who did NOT produce even one hit single?

Lifestyles of The Ramones (it's a VHS actually)
End of the Century

We're Outta Here (their farewell show; It's also a CD.)

Around the World

There's plenty of others om them. You can use these to look through others. These are two of the main ones I found.

Their the only one? Wow, I would've thought some of the others would be.

Thanks, jusork! Just watched "End of the Century" last weekend.

Such an interesting band. I adore Joey for overcoming his disabilities. I adore Johnny for his leadership qualities. Dee Dee was a wing nut, but had great writing talent.

I can go on.....

Hey -

No, I haven't heard of that doc. Are you sure that's the title? As stated a few posts ago, "End of the Century" seems to be the definitive doc about them - when was the one you're speaking of made? Just curious.....

Hey, Nic. She meant the Raw DVD actually. I think she had it in the We're a Happy Family CD case. Wink
