I have been reading in this amazing website for several hours. This is my 1st post - here goes. I have wildblue satelite-high speed connection ,although I still have MSN and some dial up settings on my computer.,Ihave a google acct.and use gmail, (I have XP pro sp2 -I am prompted to update to sp3, I just updated Belarc. I would like to discontinue MSN(asap) but know I need to be sure I have a connecting browser before the call MSN to discontinue. I'm having difficulty with renewing (or setting up correct) IP adr - currently I have a IP adr that expires in a few hours but I don't know what I did to get this temporary IP adr earlier today to even pursue making it longer term. I sure could use some assistance. Thank you

This sounds like you may be offline shortly. (I don't know. I am NOT a computer guy.) Right now, go to dwightblackburn.com and write down his phone number. (It's towards the bottom of the page.) If you do lose your internet connection, call him. (He is in Alaska, so adjust for hours accordingly.)
