Every time on my old windows 98 computer when I go to download something, it comes up and says thank you for downloading and nothing else happens... it is not in my download folder or temp folder..are there anything I can do to correct this..

Many download pages have an "automatic" download feature that often times don't actually start downloading.

You will often see a place on the downlaod page where it will say something like "if the automatic download does not start, click here". If you "click here" you can manually start the download.
