Does anyone know how an internet site picks a winner for a contest they have entered over the internet.

Good question ,I imagine they either use an independant ajudicator, or ask somebody in the office to pick it off the server somehow
I've never won bar 2 prizes off a Uk webforum for Tips submitted and Published in the Magazine that links to the site They are in public view(on the Forum) for weeks .And I also do Web based competitions/lotteries almost daily... Only comeback, Spam, if I hit the wrong Site(and my Pop-Up controls are off)
