Me again. I was having the trouble opening Yahoo earlier. Now the Yahoo website works like a charm, but I can't access my work email from this computer anymore. Very strange. The Explorer error message says I should "check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0." which I did, but I'm not sure whether they should be enabled or not! To be honest, I've tried to connect with all 4 enabled, and with all 4 disabled, and neither one seems to work. Other webpages work, just not the one I need to check my work email. Any ideas?

That's yahoo for you! I've had a mailbox there for a year and when I go there, I never know whether I'm going to get in or not. Also, yahoo is difficult to contact. I'd suggest transferring to another host.

Do you have a system administrator at work? I suggest you check with the administrator about the settings.

If not, and if you're using *Outlook Express as your email client at work, you can open the "Tools" menu, Email Accounts (or just "Accounts") and select your mail account.

Click the "Export" button and export your account settings to a file. Send the resulting ".iaf" file to your home computer.

Then at home, open Outlook Express and again go to the accounts. Use the "Import" button to import the .iaf file. Go to the "Connection" tab and insure your home Internet Connection is set.

This should enable you to connect to your work email.

*Outlook 98 has this same feature, but some newer versions of Outlook do not. Perhaps someone knows of an procedure for newer Outlook versions.
