If I type my address for the whatever web page in my address bar I always get "page can not be Displayed", but if I type it in my MSN home page address bar it will come up, why is this???

Can you give us an example (or two or three)of an address that causes this?

Like:
http://www.dwightblackburn.com or
www.okteachme.com

Type it exactly the way you would in the Address Bar.

Thanks.

Sorry, I lied, it happens when I type in just the name of what I want Banes & Nobel, but it never used to do this, it would then bring up the page with the listings for Barnes & Nobel sites, to allow you to click on to the Barnes & Nobel that you wanted, store location, buy books, etc..., now I only get the page cannot page... Confused

Kitty, click the Search button on the toolbar (or click View, point to Explorer Bar and click Search). Click Customize and Autosearch Settings.

Under Choose a search provider..., select a service (I use Google Sites). Under Just display results..., choose Just display results... (more choices are available if you've selected MSN; you may want Just go to the most likely site). Click OK, OK, and close the Search pane.

Maybe somehow the Searching option has changed somehow. Try this:

1. Click the Tools menu and choose Options.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Scroll down to the 'Search from the Address bar' section.
4. Make sure 'Do not search from the Address bar' is not selected. (Mine is set to 'Just go to the most likely site' and it searches the way you describe.)

Good luck.
