I belong to an answerboard that I couldn't access today. When I tried, it said that 'Bandwidth Limit Exceeded'. Does that sound like something permanent or temporary?

Apparently that website used up all of their allotted bandwidth. Most web hosting companies restrict the amount of data a site can transfer per month, and charge extra for more bandwidth.
The site should reappear soon, depends on when their next billing cycle starts.

Keep in mind, bandwidth costs $$$$. Many forums and answer boards are supported only by an individual. Don[t be too tough on the website owner, especially if he/she pays the freight.

I often get that message when following links on Lockergnome, especially if the site is hosted by a free server IE: Angelfire or such, sometimes have had to wait a week before gaing access.
Qualserve, this is the first time that this has happened with that site, and it wasn't that I'm being tough on the owner...it's just that I didn't understand. Now I do.
