Ok, I had this forum and I was trying to change the template for it, but when I did I ended up with this error...

Anyway, so I was researching the phpbb database and I found where someone else had the same problem and they had uploaded their template in binary instead of ASCII and didn't CHMOD it to 755. *smacks forhead* Well, that's what I did too...

now unfortunatly, I was trying to figure out what was wrong so I downloaded some other files from another forum that WAS working and uploaded them to the forum that is NOT working. Wellll....I finally uploaded my templates in ASCII and put them in the right mode, but I am still getting the error. I think it might be because I uploaded those other files in binary...possibly...

I still have a forum that is working that is almost identical to the one I screwed up. Is there anyway I can look at the files on that forum and see if they are in Binary or ASCII and what MOD they're in?

Yeah, I did that and they helped me fix the problem. It took me a while to realize what I'd done wrong though. Idiot me! I uploaded the files from the folder that I had unzipped the template into, adding an additional directory.

This was strictly a stupid user-error problem.
