Recently come across a couple of interesting new meta search engines that I am going to add to my website (Port Prophecy)and thought I would share them here. They are:
The first one, Qelly, in particular looks like it gives nice results and includes some nice advanced searching options. The second one, Nuah, is slow even with my cable modem, which is NOT good for a search engine. Part of it may be the graphics involved in the results; it gives a pic of the web page for each of the results. But it is in Beta (so is Qelly)and hoepfully will perform faster in future versions. The third one (webmetasearch)looks like your standard meta searcher.

Many thanks Derek Will give them a Thorough work out. I have several test keywords and phrases I try out including if this site and Discussionpool do show? Fails for me if only a handful of links show or nothing at all Here is another list for you to peruse links to just about every search engine list site . Tip: There is a menu box at the foot of this list to look for more...(what you see here is the tip of the iceberg!) http://jnm.rivne.com/sdoc.htm (from the Ukraine) Not been updated since 1/20/04 so there may be a dead link or 2 ...But still countless places to find

Thanks for that list Bedstor..good stuff. As far the three I posted, I do a search for Answerpool and get results, the first result in all being the actual AP homepage. But all those sites are newer search engines and are all in beta, so there seem to be some bugs that need worked out.

Qelly seems incredible. Superb results, nice layout, cool advnaced options. Just a bit slow sometimes, sposonred content hangs on the middle of the page due to some css glitch perhaps, and a few minor bugs, but since its beta, can't expect to work perfectly.
Overall, a good meta search contender. wow! (I don't know why they haven't been in the news for so long?)
Nuah seems okay. I personally wouldn't sacrifice speed and results for a good design and unwanted features. Results are not-so-good, but okay. All in all, an okay search engine.
webmetasearch - as you said, a standard metasearch
Thanks so much derek for such a nice update. (bookmarking qelly and nuah).
Regards, Eric

Still scouring the net for more search engines to add to my page. Came across several others I have made searchable from Port Prophecy. The most noteworthy ones would be another meta engine called Exoode @ http://www.exoode.com (in beta as well) and ReallyBigSearch.com which prides itself on having much less advertising than the competition.
