I sure hope Sarah gets her question answered, because I'd like to know that as well.

Does anyone know the code for a word that blinks on and off, either a different color or on and off, or something? Is that a Java thing?

Thanks.

The old tag was used only for Netscape and never made it into official HTML. However, blinking was added to CSS and is easily accomplished with the following code into the head(in between the and tags):

Then, in the body, whatever text you want to blink, add class="blinking" to. Example:

Whatever.com

or

Blah Blah Blah

WARNING! Blinking text is extremely annoying, especially on a page that you spend alot of time on. Many browsers allow the user to disable blinking. Please use sparingly!

Thank you, Derek. I'm not sure yet that I will use it anywhere, as it annoys me greatly! But it's good to have the code.
