While on vacation this summer, I was using someone's computer to check in at AP and my e-mails.

I found I could not find a way to get to some of my sights as I just click and go from home or my lap top.

A friend suggested this site where you list all your favorites and they are always available to you, anywhere you can get on line.

I registered under a new e-mail address and so far I have not had a problem with spaming.

Now the questions:
1) Have you heard of this site?
2) Do you think there is any problems?
3) How do you think they are paying for the site maintenance?

Well, Linkshelf.com was created by the the same guy responsible for "The Hun's Yellow Pages", a kind of "porn central". Draw your own conclusions. Why not just keep your favorites on a floppy? A URL shorcut is typically under 200 bytes -- zipped together, you can put thousands on a single 1.44 MB disk.

Now that would help, but how do you do that? Been trying to find that out. My son says it is simple but never can remember.

Would like to save them to a disk to carry with me.

I have looked at this site .ermm .. there is a lot of typing involved isn't there?

If you want it to be dynamic.No typing,a neat sortable search page then look no further than www.linkagogo.com. Only technical thing to do is download the Bookmark converter program(few 100 k )
then all you do is export your bookmarks in bulk (duplicates are ignored ) and the program does the rest and you can bring them back again (except AOL Bookmarks(which I use )
I have about 2000+ saved, You can make a personalised search Portal page of them(I have not got this to work yet )
Takes about 2 seconds work once you work the import/export tool out
Better than taking 2 minutes typing 1 URL ?
