I keep getting this error message:
"AMLI ACIP BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal IO port address (0x70) which lies in the 0x70-0x71 protected address range.This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance."
This has happened while trying to look at a real estate site, a college calendar and a couple of other places I can't recall at this time. However, I've been to these sites before with no problems, but have been getting more of these error messages in the past couple of months. Any ideas on how to correct this?

Could that error be "...ACPI BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal IO port address"?

If so, this page may be helpful;

ACPI BIOS

That page links you to this page;

This page

Based on my research, it would seem the fix for this is a BIOS update (if one is available) from either your computer's maker or from the maker of your mainboard.

An easy way to determine the maker of your motherboard and the version of the BIOS is using the free downloadable program PC Wizard (And thanks to Bedstor for bringing this wonderful utility to our attention).

Acronyms definitions:

Basic Input/Output BIOS

Advanced Configuration and Power Interface ACPI

I hope something here will help!
