Every so often a window pops up that says something like this

“An error has occurred and windows must close, sorry for the inconvenience”

What I would like to know is … what could be causing a window to just suddenly close?
The other day IE was constantly closing any and all windows that I had open. It mostly occurs when I’m online, but on occasions IE has closed programs that I installed and were using at the moment.

Sometimes it occurs so quickly that I’m not able to save any work that I had done and must start over. This is very aggravating… I am fed up with clicking on “tell ms about it” or similar statement. This has also occurred using Netscape.

Any ideas on why it is happening?

Hi Piggins
I suspect you are running XP? As I can't recall any of the other versions coming up with a polite message Wink
It means that it's got itself into a knot Confused And it does this rather than give you a Blue screen as with most of the other versions. At worst it gives a code and tells Microsoft. Frown (your "Pop-up")
2 tips for you
1) Instead of resetting the computer try Right Clicking the bottom border and selecting "Task Manager" then click on the program name and select "End Task" this will close the program and you can resume without resetting Wink
2) You can stop the error messages to Microsoft.
click Start .Right Click on My Computer >Properties>Advanced tab press the
"Error Reporting" button (bottom right)
Change the status to "Disable error reporting" but leave the box ticked beneath for safety.
Press OK to set ,No more messages to MS! Razz
