I did this once, and IE 7 has never let me forget it. Under "Tools," "work off line" is checked, apparently by default. Just now, I can only cruise using Mozilla.
How do I fix this?

I don't know what a "unique" browser is, do you mean default browser? I don't quite understand what reinstalling IE 7 will do for my "work offline" problem, but...ok, here goes.
Hmmm. When I started to uninstall IE I got a big long list of programs that "might not work" right if they "depend on IE 7."
Now what?

I have followed the instructions in the link you gave me as best I could, CSW, but as usual, it refers to options I don't have. #2. File/a check mark is supposed to appear if Work Offline is enabled. I see no check mark. The rest of the instructions are for a disabled Work Offline. I have no idea if mine is abled or enabled.
#6 Internet Options/Connections/Advanced/Browsing, no such file as "Enable offline items to be synchronize [sic] on a schedule check box" appears.
This MS article could use an update.
