Have you run the Add Hardware wizard which can be found in the Control Panel?..and have you a driver disk for this Printer? Question to Dwight Am I right in assuming that Both computers have to have the Printer driver installed? Not 1 ? If this present, running this program makes Windows "see" the Printer and will activate it ps DO Remember to turn the printer on! If you forget that Nothing Happens

Do either of the machines have a software firewall (such as Windows XP's Firewall) running? (No, I'm not talking about your router's firewall!) You could try temporarily disabling the software firewall(s), and attempt to connect to the shared printer. If you're successful, then you'll know that you need to reconfigure your firewall to allow File & Printer Sharing. Also helps if your computers are set to the same workgroup. (MSHOME, or WORKGROUP are common) Hope this was helpful.
