I showed Answerpool to my dad. He wishes to join. But we have DSL so my mother's, my dad's and my computer all share the DSL.

My question is, do we all have the same I.P. # or does it go by computer or what? Thanx! Smile

Your internet connection has one IP. Your router is able to determine which of the local IPs on your network pakcets should go to.

AnswerPool should work fine on your network. APEX and I (we are not clones) have used AnswerPool using the same public connection without any problems.

You probably all have the same IP number, but you could join under different names and email addresses. As long as each person only has one screen name, there shouldn't be any problem.

Thanx Mkstfnz. I thought that may be the case. But doesn't KK monitor IP addresses also? I jsut don't wanna get myself or anyone else on this site in trouble.

Don't worry, just keep out of trouble and you will be fine. And, yes KK monitors IP addresses.

Hi esencia:
One thing to remember with multipul members on the same computer is to have each person "LOGOUT" when they are through with their sessions.

Also when each "Logs IN" make sure the check-Box that says "Remember Me" is left Unchecked.

Should be no problem then.

I'm sure though if you explain that both you and your father will be using AnswerPool from the same computer, there will be no objection at all. That rule is only in place to make sure that individual users don't apply for multiple names.

KK said they might have to manually approve. Just to let him know what the user name will be before signing up.

Logging in and out is something I have to remember to do. I almost always never sign in or out because I forget. I jsut x out the window. My bad.
