Does anyone know how I can retrieve history using AOL from 1 day ago? The history from the drop down box has all already disappeared. Answers are greatly appreciated.

Also, how do you delete it?

I am not sure if AOL works like everything else, but to get History, I press Control and H at the same time. To delete, rightclick the site and "delete."

At the top of your screen you should see a little clock on the toolbar. Click on the clock and it should show all your history from 3 weeks ago to today. If you have a Go at your screen you can click that and it will show your history also.

To delete History:

Go to Tools-> Internet Options-> clear history

Stop! Ctrl+ H goes to the Delete History routine on AOL Frown
My history goes back 2 days and I haven't altered the setting (If I knew where it was)? Confused
Had a look through AOL Help came up with nothing Frown
Neither has the offline Help Confused
Ring the Aol helpline Tech support they'll know the answer to this.
All I can advise is that you open Internet Explorer options and open up the History file setting to at least 3 weeks/21 days then you'll have a rough idea in which order you have visited sites on the Web Smile

Sorry but the previous link doesn't work and I couldn't erase it. Here is what it says:

To change history in AOL browser:

1. Click on Settings tab at top.
2. Pick "preferences."
3. Under "organization" pick Internet Properties (www)
4. Set the days that you want to keep history
5. Apply and OK

Thanks Dixie.I could read that file It was an Acrobat File,
From the gist of it it says" clear the cache"
Whoever wrote this must have used an Old AOL version (5 or 6?) or guessing, because the route is normally done a different way
I'd do it this way using AOL9, Aol8 is almost the same route, so things are in similar places
Click on the Aol Icon and select System Information>Utilities tab
Check that the 2 boxes with numbers are not the same size. The upper box is whats stored in the cache. The lower one is the cache limit
To clear the top box there is a button under these windows Normally it flushes itself but if it gets too large then the browser locks up
meaning you have to reset the computer
The size for the lower box is determined by the cache size set in Internet Explorer Options
which is set at about the 2nd or 3rd notch in from the left on the slide bar
Any more or less I find can cause some probs. So I found this sweet spot that is ideal for most computers. Wink
The questioner did not say which Version of AOL she was using? If it is 9 there is a "Quick restore button" that will reset the settings to default without visiting Internet Explorer. That is at the bottom of the same page Wink
