Once again I spent some time recently scouring the Internet to find search engines that I've never come across before. I know, I'm a nerd. But anyway, here a few I found that I though I'd share with you here:

DumbFind (what a name!) - http://www.dumbfind.com/
Blurb from their site - "Through Dumbfind’s two box search technology users are able to search for keywords (as they would on any ordinary search engine) and reorder those results using generalized topics. This is a new approach to search that allows users to better utilize their intuition to construct queries without learning the complex innerworkings of search engines."

Myriad Search - http://www.myriadsearch.com/
A meta search engine that pulls its results from Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Ask Jeeves. The really neat thing about this meta searcher is it allows the user to set the bias of each of the engines it queries.

Vezto - http://www.vezto.com/
This one is a rather odd beast. The site claims it's a meta search engine but it really isn't, as its results come from just one engine, Google. The innovation is how this site presents the data it gets from Google. Check it out, kinda wierd.

Blurb from their site - "We tend to produce better results for articles and information on the web than Google and the others because we base these pages on content and can decipher exactly what is on each page and rank it accordingly. We tend to produce decent results for broad searches as well. Our ultimate goal is to show you pages that you would not find on Google or other major engines without spending a few minutes weeding out the results for yourself. Additionally because we visit pages live, our results are updated to the second you search for them. This means you should not find any pages that have been discontinued or outdated with other materials since the major engines originally looked at the pages."

BoardTracker - http://www.boardtracker.com/
Blurb from their site - "BoardTracker.com is an innovative forum search engine, message tracking and instant alerts system designed to provide relevant information quickly and efficiently while ensuring you never miss an important forum thread no matter where or when it is posted. Boardtracker brings the most targeted audience closer to the boards, by being a search engine only for boards and by supplying a categorized and highly effective searching and browsing experience to users."

Enjoy.
