I belong to an answerboard that I couldn't access today. When I tried, it said that 'Bandwidth Limit Exceeded'. Does that sound like something permanent or temporary? Frown

Apparently that website used up all of their allotted bandwidth. Most web hosting companies restrict the amount of data a site can transfer per month, and charge extra for more bandwidth.

The site should reappear soon, depends on when their next billing cycle starts.

Thanks JW, I sure hope it does reappear, but if the website owner allows this to happen, it doesn't speak too well for the site. Roll Eyes

Keep in mind, bandwidth costs $$$$. Many forums and answer boards are supported only by an individual. Don[t be too tough on the website owner, especially if he/she pays the freight.

Qualserve, this is the first time that this has happened with that site, and it wasn't that I'm being tough on the owner...it's just that I didn't understand. Now I do.
