Hello all.

I'm sorry I haven't been around for a little while. I'm sure glad to be back.

I have a question about online payment systems. My son Brian fell four storeys and broke his back, among other injuries.

Many of my friends and clients have been urging me to set up an online donation account so people could help us out financially during this very difficult time.

I finally gave in and set up an account with PayPal. I've never used PayPal before but I'd heard good things about it. I uploaded this web page on my site with the PayPal button on it.

However, the recent Mimail virus that spoofs Paypal is getting all kinds of bad press. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good alternative site I could set up such a donation account, just until the PayPal furor dies down a bit.

Anyone have any experience with online payment systems or opinions on PayPal?

I'd sure appreciate your help. As you can imagine, I'm feeling a bit scattered these days.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Glad to see you back, Ruth. I hope your son heals very quickly.

One donation you might consider is the amazone.com. You can see an example of this here.

I signed up for PayPal, and then couldn't use it......it kept telling me I couldn't access it. I know I had the right password, the right sign-in name, but kept telling me there was an error and to contact PayPal. I did so, and never got an answer back. Finally, I sent them a not-so-kind email, giving them a choice as to which ear to stick their service in. Big Grin. For some reason, they didn't respond to that one, either.

Recently I got notification my subscription to them was up. Good riddance!!!! Mad

And I hope your son has a speedy recovery, MuchWyza.

Thanks so much guys. I think I will give Amazon a try, Dwight. I really respect you judgement and if it's good enough for you, I'll try it.

Thanks also for your post, too, Jelp01. I appreciate your info.

Thanks also for the kind words regarding Brian.
