and you still don't see the Address Bar, look for a separator bar, like this: If you see that, you can click your mouse on it and hold the button in, while you drag it. You can drag it left, right, up or down to an area where the Address Bar is again visible. Once you have placed it, release the mouse button. Also, if you see a double horizontal arrow, like this: You can click it and see a drop down menu of additional options.

I hope this helps!
I hope yours is a great day!

Dear Lydia: This is one of those things that is easy to do, yet difficult to explain. I think the Menu Bar may have gotten accidentally dragged to a position where it is difficult to view. First, (if your browser window is not set to maximum) I suggest you double click in the Internet Explorer Title Bar (it's probably blue in color). Look in the picture below for the Title Bar, if you're not sure which one is the Title Bar. This should maximize the window making it easier to see everything. See if you see the "File" menu any where. It may look like this: If you see it, you will need to hover your Cursor near the "Separator Bars" You will see a horizontal arrow, like this: If you press your left mouse button, you can drag the entire Menu Bar (or any of the "Bars") to a different location horizontally. Note: If you're using WinXP and/or if you're using Internet Explorer, version 6, you may need to "unlock" the Toolbar before you can drag it. You "unlock" by clicking the double horizontal arrow then select View/Toolbar and unchecking "Lock the Toolbar" option. If you carefully move your cursor to a position near the Separator Bar, then press and hold the mouse button, you will see a "Move" cursor (as shown in the picture below).

If you cannot see the "File" menu, please let me know. You may need to run the I.E. repair tool, or download an upgraded version of Internet Explorer.

This happened to my mom; she downloaded & installed IE 6.0 onto Win98 (1st edition) back in March; about 2 weeks later everything but the title bar disappeared from her web browser. Luckily I had my own sign-on, on her PC, and was able to get help from MS's website. Turns out (plenty of info on MS's site after a Help search), there were so many bugs in it that I had to reinstall IE 5.5. At that time, IE 6.0 worked on WinXP but caused problems in earlier OS versions. Supposedly, most of the bugs have been corrected...who knows.
If your PC is brand new & running a pretty current OS (especially if IE 6.0 came with your PC), I may be way off base. If you recently installed IE 6.0, you may want to try reinstalling whichever prior version you had.
You should definitely try what Dwight suggested first, since he knows way more than me.
