I don't know if how many of you have or do DL music from sites and created your own CDs. I have quite a few custom CDs.

my question is, why is it some songs get recorded onto the CD really loud and others are really soft?

I like my music loud but when a song that was recorded really loud comes on, then it is extremely loud! So I have to keep the volume low but, then when a song that was recorded softer comes on, I can barely hear it.

Is there some way of fixing that before recording the CD? Is there something I am missing in my program? I can't find any other way of finding this out until the CD is already made.

i have had that problem before. i just use audacity, which is a music editor.
