This is urgent.

Can anyone please tell me how I can contact the Webmaster of a particular site.

Myself and dozens of others have been trying to contact this site for weeks but are being completely ignored except for an automated reply. This site has several Email addresses.

I have been informed that this site is fully automated but I would have thought that there should be some human presence.

Also can you please advise me of where to go and what to do in the event that I need to complain about the way a site operates.

Have you tired emailing complaints@ whateversite.com and/or postmaster@whateversite.com ? The postmaster one usually gets to a human, if the site is set up in a standard way. The other thing I could suggest, especially if you think there is a legal or moral issue, would be to find out where the website is hosted (which ISP), and contact them directly. They will be able to take the site offline if neccessary and should have details of the people/organisation responsible for the site.

Have you tried looking up their registration at:

http://www.netsol.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois

It should give you the Name, location, and at least email address of the name of the domain owner, often a phone number too.

Just curious. What is the site you're trying to reach?

Thanks for your reply. I have gone to the site you suggested, have got an address and have Emailed it, whether it will be responded to is another matter.
