This is VERY frustrating! I'm using IE version 6.0 and for some reason the "back" button has stopped working these past 2 days. No only does it not take me back to the last page viewed, but when the pop up menu appears listing my choices of pages to go back to, I can't select any of them. Well, I can select them...just can't get to them.

Any suggestions? I've cleaned out all the internet files, I've deleted cookies, I've re-booted....so far, nothing has worked.

That was an interesting article LVLF and thanks for finding it for me. Only thing is, it says to use the response.expires method....but doesn't tell me what that is or how to use it!

Interestingly enough, the back button has the most problems when I access this site form work...

The only thing that has changed with my computer is Monday I unplugged it and moved to a different location in the office. I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.

Well, thanks again for the info Big Grin

I suggest you try the Internet Explorer Repair Tool and see if it will fix the problem.

There are several different ways to open the tool including:

Click Start
Settings
Control Panel
Add-Remove Programs
Scroll to Microsoft Internet Explorer
Select it, then click the "Add-Remove" button.

In the Options window, choose "Repair".

The tool will scan and attempt to repair the program, then prompt you to restart your computer. The settings will be updated during the Restart which will take somewhat longer than normal.

I hope this helps!

I would if I could Dwight. But the application is not found. It's loaded on a main computer that I am networking off of.

I've got a "ticket" called in for a repair, but I'm tired of waiting so I'm trying to "fix" it myself. Thanks for the info tho! Big Grin

You might get temporary relieve by changing the button size under View / Toolbars / Customize (or right-click on the toolbar and click Customize).

Changing the size, or the layout might "reset" the whole toolbar.

Thanks LVLV...I actually did that yesterday. And Dwight I tried the customize trick but that didn't seem to help anything. I've had support come and mess with my computer and they reloaded IE again. I'm still having problems with pages loading and can't use my browser buttons. They can't figure it out either!

But thanks for all your input!
