Although I have a DSL connection at home provided by my local phone company, whenever I travel I bring my laptop and use MSN dial-up, which can get me connected via a local phone call from practically anywhere in the U.S.

For a lot of reasons I want to dump MSN, but I would need a different dial-up ISP service that I could expect to work throughout the U.S.

Any suggestions?

Earthlink or Walmart dial-up might work for you.
Walmart is only $10/month for unlimited usage.

Professor, You might also look into xprs.net.
I've been using it for years now and love it. I know you'll also find the people running it friendly and helpful.
P.S. They've just added an AnswerPool link!
