Drat it, I had always heard it was wonderful and convenient shopping on the net, but that hasn't been my esperience! I'm an incompetent shopper.
I want a 24" ceramic stove top ('smoothtop') to replace an old 24" coil stovetop.
I spent hours on the net last evening and found one, KitchenAid, and they do not sell that model to Canada. (We might convert it to a bomb and give it to Muslim terrorists, maybe. Or its our own stupid import laws. I thought we had free trade now!!)
Okay, I've got a grip on myself now.
my problem, I'm sure, is that I don't know how to phrase the Google search properly. I put in - appliance smoothtop 24" - smooth top stove top electric and similar entries, and the names of all the major appliance companies I could think of.
I just can't believe that there is only one model sold in all of North America.
What am I doing wrong?

sometimes you can get better results by putting in something simple like appliance and then at the bottom of the page that comes up use "search within results". Appliance is likeky to come up with a zillion results.
Look at that...a guy who hates shopping helping a female shop! Thought you were born with it all in the genes.
