Can any one please tell if their is an overall Web Watchdog Organization who oversees the content posted on the Net?

If so an Email address would be appreciated.

Failing that any info and Email addresses/URLs for any type of Web Watchdog who also keep an eye on ISPs' would be appreciated.

Thanks

A really good rule of thumb:

If they don't tell you right up front, exactly what you get for your $ or (how do I insert the symbol?) pounds, keep shopping (NetZero & Juno come immediately to mind). The old addage, "you get what you pay for", certainly applies here.

*In response to "(how do I insert the symbol?)"

£ (enlarged to be easier to see)

This site has a list of currency symbols, that you can copy/paste into here. ¥ (YEN SIGN)

Currency Symbols

If you have MS Word, you can click the "Insert" menu, then the "Symbol" command.

Set the font to something like (normal text) or "Tahoma", then in the "Subset" window, scroll down to "Currency". Select your choice, then click "Insert".

If you want the symbol in your answer post here, just copy/paste it.

And, since we're on the subject, there are other ASCII symbols you can use, with your numeric keypad. (Note: The "NUM lock" key must be "on".)

Press and hold the "Alt" key, then type in the appropriate number in the numeric keypad. For example: Ö (Alt + 153) ê (Alt + 136) Ç (Alt + 128)

A list here: Look under Extended ASCII codes

You probably won't be able to make all of them work...depends on what fonts you have.

I hope this helps!

*I hope your question wasn't rhetorical!
